The Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Nigeria and Overseas has directed all its assemblies worldwide to observe a special prayer session today as part of efforts to seek God’s intervention for the release of 38 members abducted by bandits in Eruku, Ekiti local government area of Kwara State last Thursday.
In a letter issued on November 21, 2025 signed by the general secretary of the church, Pastor E. E. Mapur, the CAC leadership urged all pastors, assemblies, districts and regional councils across the world to raise intercessory prayers for divine rescue, protection and comfort.
Pastor Mapur said the special prayer session was aimed at seeking God’s mercy for the safety and release of all those abducted, as well as courage and comfort for the entire church during this trying period.
The letter further noted that prayers should also be offered for the families of those who lost their lives in the attack, asking God to grant them peace, healing and strength to endure the painful losses.
The church appealed to governments at all levels and security agencies to intensify efforts to ensure swift rescue of the victims and restore peace in the affected communities.
