The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) is set to discuss ‘Developing a Game-Changing Leader’s Mindset for Business Transformation in a VUCA World,’ at its upcoming 40th Omolayole Management Lecture Series (OML).

The annual event serves as a platform for business executives to analyse and exchange insights on critical issues in the business and economic landscape, aimed at optimising management practices both locally and globally.

Ladan Gobir, president and chairman of the governing council of CIPM, expressed his enthusiasm, saying the lecture series is traditionally rotated among partners, and CIPM is honoured to take the lead for this landmark edition. Gobir further stated,

“The world is a better place because of those who step up and contribute positively. This is exemplified by Dr. Michael Omolayole, FCIP, the esteemed Pioneer President of our Institute.

His unwavering dedication has been the foundation for our success and growth, influencing the management landscape across Nigeria,” Omolayole stressed.

Dr. Omolayole’s visionary leadership has been instrumental in implementing key management principles across various organisations, including our esteemed partners: AIESEC Alumni, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), Nigeria Employers Consult Association (NECA), Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), and The Chemical and Non-Metal Products Employers’ Federation (CANPEF).

Gobir noted that,  “If leadership were an Olympic sport, Dr. Omolayole would surely have multiple gold medals. His example reminds us that while the path of leadership may be challenging, it is the persistent and innovative who truly make a difference.”

For four decades, the Omolayole Management Lecture Series has been a beacon of knowledge, inspiring generations of management professionals to pursue excellence, integrity, and innovation. Dr. Omolayole’s illustrious career continues to inspire us to reach new heights.

“As we celebrate the 40th edition of the Omolayole Management Lecture Series, we reflect on its profound impact on the professional lives of individuals and organisations, shaping the business landscape in Nigeria and beyond.

“In a world characterised by Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA), the need for visionary leadership and transformative thinking is more critical than ever. This year’s theme challenges us to rethink and reshape our leadership approaches, equipping us to navigate and excel in this dynamic environment. We look forward to further exploring these insights on September 26th, 2024, at the Metropolitan Club in Lagos,” he pointed out.
