Citizenship Media Limited has officially commenced operations for its flagship news platforms, Citizenship Daily, Citizenship Weekend, and Citizenship Online.
The platforms are designed to deliver journalism that empowers citizens and fosters informed national discourse.
The platforms operate online and offline and offer content in various categories, including politics, breaking news, human interest, crime, terrorism, business, environment, entertainment, sports, opinion, and investigative journalism.
Speaking on its vision, the publishers said the newspaper seeks to build an informed, engaged, and empowered society. According to them, Citizenship Newspaper aims to catalyse social change by placing citizens at the centre of every story.
“We believe that credible information is the cornerstone of democracy, and we are committed to making that information accessible to people across all social classes,” the statement read.
The newsroom is led by a dedicated team of seasoned journalists, editors, and professionals. Mohammed Danlami (Editor-in-Chief) heads the editorial leadership, which is supported by Jibrin Abdullahi (Acting Editor) and Dr. Saidu Abubakar (General Manager, Administration). Other key team members include Aminu Sale (Marketing Manager), Kelechi Mbadiwe (Production Manager), Abdullahi Shugaba (Regional Editor, North West), and Folorunso Akinjide (IT Manager).
