The Apostolic Lead of the Revival House of Glory International Church (RHOGIC), Apostle Goodheart Obi Ekwueme, has backed the decision of the federal government to declare a state of emergency on Insecurity in the country.
The clergyman, who celebrated 40 years in ministry over the weekend, said the event offered an opportunity to dream again and see what God has in store for him.
Ekwueme added that he knew that there was more ahead for him.
Apostle Ekwueme, who also unveiled 10 new books in addition to the 36 he had previously written, shared his thoughts on the lingering insecurity in the country.
According to him, the government needs to tackle insecurity from a multiple approach.
He said, “The state of emergency may be a right step, but I think there is much more to that. I believe the government is addressing more serious issues of insecurity. It’s not just one thing that will solve the problem; the government also needs multiple approaches. I want to believe that they are working behind the scenes to approach the situation from various angles.
“Without security in the nation, it would be difficult for her to grow and improve the economy and for the people to have a peaceful environment to work. I believe this is one area the government should investigate. I pray for the government to have the courage and all it takes to tackle insecurity in our country,” Ekwueme said.
He expressed satisfaction with the achievements he had made in the last 40 years in ministry.
“I feel very excited to be 40 years in Christ and in active ministry and to be alive, well and strong to still be able to dream again and see what God has in store and I know that there is more ahead.
“Today, 10 books were unveiled, which makes it a total of 46 books I’ve written. They all have an imprint in my heart, but I must say that the 10 that were unveiled today are really my best of all the books,” he said.
Also, during the celebration, the Goodheart Ekwueme Ministry International (GEMI) was launched.
GEMI is a foundation dedicated to mentorship, soul-winning and support for vulnerable groups.
A former presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and a friend of the celebrant, Dumebi Kachikwu, described Ekwueme as a man of wisdom who has had a profound impact on his generation.
Kachikwu, who was also the chief launcher of the occasion, said Ekwueme typified his name, adding that his good deeds should be emulated.
He also called on all Nigerians to support the government’s effort in the fight against terrorism.
