A renowned evangelist, Apostle Lawrence Bamilaw, has asked the federal government to deploy both military and spiritual intelligence to combat the country’s security challenges.
Bamilaw, who made the call in Osogbo, Osun State in a chat with journalists on the activities for the annual African 24-hour Marathon Praise on December 12, 2025, said many battles were fought and won spiritually in the Bible.
He charged the federal government to take responsibility for the security of Nigerians, adding that “we don’t want Christians or Muslims to die anymore.”
His words: “This Friday we shall be raising the hand of the government in praise, in prayers, we shall lead teams of thousands of people to praise God and move his hand for war, for we are going to combine military and spiritual intelligence like the times of Jehosaphat in the Bible. We should not berate the power of prayers.
He noted that the positive impacts of prayers of great men of God in the continued existence of Nigeria as a nation are not being appreciated enough, warning Nigerians to desist from disrespecting them as oracles of God.
“Every good thing and bad thing starts at the table of the leaders. We should strive to convey a positive image to the nation. I do see leaders from different countries pray in Islam first, before addressing the people.
While commending the praising God attitude of Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke, Bamilaw insisted that anyone who has the habit of praising God will always be successful in their endeavours, like Governor Adeleke of Osun State.
