The Senior Pastor of the Champion Faith Assembly, Apostle Godspower Udjor, has called on every Nigeria both in Diaspora to join in praying for the good of Nigeria every week so as to turn every negative issues to the betterment of the nation.
He made this call during the Tuesday week prayers at the Champion Faith Assembly in Abuja.
According to Apostle Udjor, God spoke to him that he should gather people and pray not just for Nigeria as a nation but for Nigerians both home and in the Diaspora every Tuesday from 12noon to 1:00pm.
He said, “We are not praying for our Church or denominations but for the nation, regardless of your belief, culture, tribe or religion conviction, we are praying for Nigeria as a country because Nigeria that I grew up to meet was a Nigeria that as at 1985 a Dollar was 67Kobo. Americans were literally coming to Nigeria to work and get our Naira. You could go to London with Nigerian Naira and infact, you don’t even need a visa, you get visa on arrival.
“Today Nigerians are selling their lands, houses and cars even leaving lucrative jobs to go abroad to wash plates, dead bodied and take care of aged people regardless of the degrees even people with Masters and PhD’s holders. You will cry when you see what our people go through abroad.
“Prayers gives God legal right to intervene Inn a system, so we are calling on God in prayers and He will answer. Today, Saudi Arabia is where our good medical personnel’s run to for greener pastures. In the 60s King Fasau of Saudi Arabia came to UCH here in Nigeria for treatment.
“In an article of Marxh 16, 1975 of NewYork Times, Nigeria had so much money that they didn’t know what to do with it, remember the Udorgi time, Nigerian workers relieved salaries twice in a month. Today, 6months no salary yet. In 1975 here in Nigeria a brand new 504 was sold for N1,500 but today a loaf of bread is all you can buy for N1,500.
