Two prominent Christian clerics in Bauchi State have urged Christian youths and families to remain steadfast and uphold moral values despite the biting economic hardship in the country.
In a Sunday sermon at ECWA Church, New GRA, Bauchi, Rev. Sabo Sarki, called on the faithful to deepen their worship and seek God’s blessings in these trying times.
He lamented that worsening economic conditions have devastated the livelihoods of vulnerable Nigerians, stressing the need for wealthy Christians to step in and support struggling families.
In a similar message at COCIN Church, Guru, Rev. Yakubu Moriya, challenged youths to shun immoral acts that could ruin their lives and to respect parental guidance.
He urged parents and guardians to actively monitor their children’s behaviour, warning that they would be held accountable for their wards’ conduct.
“There will be a day of reckoning,” he cautioned, emphasising that strong family values remain key to shaping morally upright citizens.
