“You see, I am the oldest medical personnel with vast experience working in this hospital and, therefore, will do all I can to leave a legacy that will be remembered after I leave service,” he added.

Speaking with journalists in his office yesterday at Fati Lami Hospital in Birnin Kebbi, Dr Zaki commended the Kebbi State governor, Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, for confirming him as permanent secretary and chief medical director of Sir Yahaya Hospital.

He warned people, particularly patients, against taking self or local medication, which, according to him, can cause serious ailments such as kidney, heart problems and other diseases.

Dr Zaki also commended the management of the Kebbi State Contributory Health Management Agency (KECHEMA) for efficiency in the health services improvement in the state.
