CMDs Promise Better Services In Hospitals

The Committee of Chief Medical Directors of Federal Teaching Hospitals and Medical Directors of Federal Tertiary Hospitals has stated that its periodic meetings are meant to ensure excellent practices in its various facilities.

Its acting chairman and CMD Federal Teaching Hospital, Keffi, Nasarawa State, Dr Yahya Baba Adamu, stated this during the opening ceremony of the committee’s 106th meeting, which was held in Gombe State.

He said they share information on the practices in their hospitals, understudy and emulate one another whenever they meet.

He said Nigerian citizens should expect improved service delivery and healthcare after the meeting, adding that if every CMD sees a good practice from another, he will replicate it in his organisation.

In his address, the host and CMD of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, Dr Yusuf Mohammed Abdullahi, said their meetings serve as platforms for discussing strategies to improve healthcare services further, enhance collaboration, and address emerging challenges in the sector.

Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya, represented by his deputy Manasseh Jatau, declared the meeting open at Gombe International Hotel and underscored the importance of synergy among the heads of federal health facilities and the government.

 

He lauded the efforts and contributions of the CMDs and federal hospitals in advancing healthcare provision across the country.
