The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, has commended and expressed gratitude to Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, for consistently supporting security operations and helping wounded troops through different interventions to the Nigerian military.

The COAS made the commendation yesterday when he paid a courtesy call on Governor Zulum at the Government House in Maiduguri.

He was received by the Deputy Governor, Umar Usman Kadafur, as Governor Zulum was out of the state on official engagements.

The COAS was accompanied by the Theatre Commander ‘Operation Hadin Kai’, Major General Gold Chibuisi, the GOC 7 Division, Major General Peter Malla and some senior officers.

The Army Chief informed the Governor that he was in Borno State on operational visits to units and formations under his watch.
