At the occasion, the general manager of ASOPADEC, Joshua Onyeike, said the gesture was part of ASOPADEC’s corporate social responsibility and called on society to address the challenges of such homes.

Represented by the director of social welfare, Amarachi Isaac- Nwachukwu, he assured the inmates and the people of the area in general that their welfare had been placed on the front burner.

“This is in line with the mandate of the ASOPADEC and the vision of the state government led by Alex Otti” she said, urging the inmates to be hopeful, steadfast in faith, and focused for a better future.

She noted ASOPADEC’s resolve to partner organisations involved in improving the living standard of the people and lauded the management and staff of the homes for their efforts in caring for the inmates.
