Niger State commissioner for communication, technology and digital economy, Suleiman Isah, has emerged as one of Nigeria’s 50 most valuable digital economy leaders in 2025, according to IT Edge News Africa.
This is in recognition of his role as the architect of the state’s digital renaissance that has triggered hope for the digital economy sector in the state.
IT Edge News Africa said the commissioner’s visionary leadership had not only redefined tech governance in Niger State but also earned him a coveted spot among Nigeria’s 50 most valuable personalities in digital economy.
The award was presented by the chief executive officer of Digital Realty Nigeria, Engr. Ikechukwu Nnamani.
He said the award was presented to players from across the 36 states of the federation who had contributed to the advancement of digital economy in the country.
Suleiman Isah is recognised as the architect of the state’s digital renaissance for leveraging on technology for the simplification of civil service recruitment processes.
He introduced AI-monitored home-based examinations which eliminated the need for candidates to travel to computer based test centres, thereby increasing accessibility and reducing costs.
The commissioner championed the abolition of fibre optic right-of-way charges, positioning Niger State as a more attractive destinations for broadband investment and enhancing connectivity for citizens.
