Kunde, who made the commendation during the donation of a make-shift library constructed by K2U Puzzles for the IDPs Mega Camp Makurdi, thanked them for their kind gesture, saying Governor Hyacinth Alia is working hard to curb insecurity to enable the IDPs return to their ancestral homes.

According to  Kunde, “I want to appreciate you donors for such a wonderful initiative geared towards putting smiles on the faces of the displaced children, and I want to promise here that the Alia-led administration will not take this gesture for granted.”

Earlier,  the co-founder of K2U Puzzles Games, Martins Oloye, explained that the make-shift library is stocked with books from Nursery One to Senior Secondary School Three, to help the displaced children at have a sense of belonging.

According to him, “We can put up this library for the out of school children in camps with the support of the Oando Foundation.”

Oloye explained further that, in addition to the library, the organisation has also supplied 150,000 books to the children as a way of nurturing them to learn.

Also, the executive director, Offshore Lab, Emeka Obiwulu disclosed that the organisation has taken it upon itself to take education to communities without infrastructure for teaching and learning  especially in crisis prone communities, IDPs’ camps as well as hard to reach areas that have a near absence of education.

Obiwulu promised that the organisation would also fashion out a curriculum for the IDPs children in line with what is taking place in the formal education sector in order to reconnect them back to formal education so that they will not be left behind.

He further pledged that the organisation would do more for the IDPs in the Mega camp and all IDPs’ camps across the country.

Similarly, the founder of Luxe Dental, Dr Funmilayo Adeniyi, stated that the organisation has also given free dental kits to over 500 children in the camp, adding that 100 of them were also given free dental treatment.

The Commissioner for Education and Knowledge Management, Dr Frederick Ikyaan, lamented that the attacks on Benue communities have affected many schools and increased the number of out-of-school children and applauded K2U Puzzle for coming to the aid of the displaced children.
