Community Heads Back Hamzat For Governorship Bid In Lagos

The Lagos State Baales Forum has declared its total support for the Lagos State deputy governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, affirming that he possesses the vision and capacity to build upon the achievements of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and previous administrations in the state.

The convener of the Lagos State Baales Forum, Dr Seyi Bamigbade stated this during the Ikeja Division Post-PVC Evaluation exercise held yesterday at the Ikeja Local Government Secretariat.

Addressing the traditional rulers and community leaders, the chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Hon Dauda Akeem, who represented both the deputy governor, Dr Hamzat, and Rt Hon James Abiodun Faleke – emphasised the critical role of local governance.

He announced that all Lagos State Local Government Chairmen are fully prepared to collaborate closely with the traditional institutions to secure millions of grassroots votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC), in ensuring victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat in the upcoming elections.

In his remarks, the Oba of Igando,  Oba Lasisi Gbadebo Gbadamosi, commended the Lagos State Baales Forum for their unwavering dedication, tireless efforts, and strategic mobilisation of residents across the state to guarantee a resounding victory for the ruling APC.

Expressing gratitude to the monarchs in attendance, the Chairman of the Baales Forum and Oba-Elect of Ijeododo Kingdom, High Chief Abu Jelili Ododo, reassured the leadership of the party’s readiness for total grassroots mobilization.

The monarch said he will ensure a massive turnout of voters on the election day, saying his community is committed to the continuity of progress in Lagos State and Nigeria.
