A Kogi High Court sitting in Lokoja has ordered the arrest of state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Enemona Anyebe, for contempt.
Similarly, Justice Yahaya Adamu, of Court 5 Lokoja, in the suite brought before it between John Ojodale vs PDP and 1 other in suit no. HC/Okp/8/2024, ordered a fresh election within 45 days to fill the vacancy of the Chairman.
The court held that Anyebe was not qualified to contest.
Justice Adamu ruled that Anyebe was not a contestant in that election and ordered for his arrest for contempt.
LEADERSHIP recalls that a court had earlier barred Anyebe from contesting in the PDP Congress held on 31 August, 2024 following his alleged suspension.

He called on the national secretariat of the party to urgently wade in to restore sanity in the party.
