“This project is a clear example of how individuals can make a meaningful difference in their communities.

“I urge others to follow her footsteps and contribute to the growth and well-being of our society,” the paramount ruler said.

In his remarks, the State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mr Femi Osungbohun also applauded the initiative, describing it as a shining example of the NYSC’s objectives of fostering unity and driving community development.

According to Osungbohun, the initiative exemplifies the NYSC’s vision of nurturing young leaders who will be committed to service and impactful change in their communities.

The NYSC state coordinator stressed that community development remains an ongoing process that should be supported by all for a better society.

He advised other corps members to identify the needs of their host communities, collaborate with stakeholders, and execute projects that empower and uplift the society.

Also speaking, the Chief Medical Director of FTH Lokoja, Dr Olatunde Alabi, expressed his gratitude to NYSC for the project, describing Arukwe as productive and selfless corps member.

Alabi stressed that the donor had demonstrated her remarkable dedication and sacrifice to community development service and commitment to humanity.

Earlier, the Corps member, Miss Arukwe described the initiative as an inspiration from God to impact humanity, especially the caregivers while taking care of their loved ones in the hospital.

“The inspiration behind this project was driven by my purpose and commitment to God and humanity.

“It was conceived to provide caregivers and patients’ relatives with a dignified and comfortable relaxing space during their challenging moments while caring for their loved ones.

“With my personal effort and donations from my family, NGOs, the Maigari of Lokoja, as well as other donors, I have expended over N2.5 million to make this project a reality.

“So, I am grateful to God for privilege to serve humanity. I thanked my family for their support and encouragement as well as all the donors for their generous contributions towards its completion,” Arukwe said.

One of the Caregivers, Halimat Wozili, who was taking care of his sick brother at the hospital, commended the donor for the initiative, and prayed God to bless her.

The Corp member’s sister, Oyinyechi Arukwe, who came to witness the project commissioning from Lagos, appreciated all the sponsors for their support and contributions in making the project a reality.
