Members of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) deployed in Ekiti State have been urged to make national development and integration their watchword.
The acting director-general of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Mrs Christy Uba also advised them to take advantage of the skill acquisition programs of the scheme for self-reliance.
She spoke yesterday during the swearing-in of the 2022 Batch C Stream II corps members, held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ise-Orun/Emure, Ekiti State.
Represented by the NYSC Ekiti State coordinator, Mrs. Mary Chikezie, the acting DG stressed the need for the corps members to entrench the culture of working together to promote friendship, peace and harmony.
Warning the corps members against using social media to spread fake news and fueling hatred, she said online platforms should be used for the promotion of national unity and development.
