Council Lauds Adamawa Over Project Implementation

The Implementation Monitoring Committee of the National Economic Council (NEC) has lauded the Adamawa State government for implementing key and legacy projects.

The chairman of the delegation, Dr Maina Yaumi, made this known during a visit to the deputy governor’s office after an assessment tour of projects executed under the Governor Ahmadu Fintiri-led administration across the state yesterday.

Yaumi, who also serves as the leader of the delegation for the North East and the Borno State commissioner for Planning and Economic Development, said the team is impressed by the number of projects executed across the state.

The team, which visited the International Conference and Event Centre, amusement park, modern shopping mall, NYSC permanent orientation site, stadium complex, Modibo Adama Modern Market, Yola, State Independent Electoral Commission and some road networks, said they were executed in line with the mandate of the council.

He pointed out that the tour was conducted to enable the council to evaluate and monitor projects implemented by various state governments.

“The team is highly impressed with the project inspected across the state.

He further added that the team would report its findings to the council with a view to supporting the state. Earlier, the state deputy governor, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, stressed the government’s commitment to deliver developmental and legacy projects to citizens until its last day in office.

Farauta said the Fintiri-led administration in Adamawa will never renege on the oath taken to serve the people with utmost sincerity, fairness and transparency.

She stated that the execution of people-oriented projects and other legacy works that are glaring across the state aligns with the federal government’s developmental programmes, a testament to Governor Fintiri’s commitment to transforming Adamawa and uplifting the living standards of the masses.

According to her, all the projects were executed to better the lives of the people of the state.
