Chief Magistrate E.V. Tunde Smooth also gave 25 sanitation defaulters fines ranging between N1,000 and N3,000 and discharged one person on health grounds.

Delta State Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Jamani Tommy Ejiro, who alongside the chairman of the area council, Comrade Weyinmi Isaac Agbateyiniro, supervised the exercise said the turnout of people during the clean  up wasn’t too encouraging.

The commissioner commended Agbateyiniro and members of his team for enforcing the environmental sanitation exercise, urging Deltans to collaborate with government to make the state cleaner.

Whilst noting that environmental sanitation across the state is a daily exercise, Mr. Jamani, assured that authorities of the council area, through the Market Master, would ensure that traders at Igbudu market, Warri, comply with the state government sanitation order, henceforth.
