Cross River’s Oil Status Restoration Will Unlock Prosperity – Support Group

The restoration of Cross River State’s status as an oil-producing state will unlock a new era of prosperity for its people, the Neighbor2Neighbor 4 Sweet Prince, Cross River State, has said.

The group, in a commendation message signed by its Director-General, Hon. Bobby Effiom Ekpenyong, PhD, FNACSP, hailed the Cross River State Governor, Otu, on the achievement, describing it as a historic milestone with far-reaching economic implications.

“We commend and congratulate Your Excellency and your administration on the historic achievement of restoring Cross River State’s rightful status as an oil-producing state,” the group stated.

The group stated that the development was of “immense economic significance” and capable of opening a new chapter in the state’s economic history.

They said that Governor Otu has demonstrated rare leadership qualities by pursuing the state’s legitimate interests despite complexities, showing a commitment to “a more prosperous and sustainable future for generations yet unborn.”

It described the feat as “a testament to your tenacity, strategic vision, political sagacity tempered by humility, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of the people.”

According to the group, the development will unlock opportunities for revenue generation, employment, infrastructure development, investment and sustainable economic growth.

“Your perseverance has demonstrated that when purposeful leadership is matched with determination, strategic engagement and a clear sense of vision and mission, seemingly difficult objectives can be transformed into historic realities,” it noted.

The group urged that the oil-producing status be leveraged to drive inclusive development, youth empowerment, job creation, and improved infrastructure.

“Your Excellency, you have not merely pursued an economic status for Cross River State; you have pursued a legacy,” Ekpenyong said.

He stressed that the achievement has given Cross Riverians “renewed confidence, renewed hope and renewed reason to believe in the immense possibilities of their state.”
