In a statement issued to newsmen yesterday in Abuja, the National Coordinator of the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations, Amb. Lukman Lawal, highlighted Governor Idris’s approval of ₦585.4 million for the tuition fees of 100 Kebbi State students studying in India and other local institutions as a significant achievement.

This initiative aims to foster human capital development and ensure the state’s youth have access to quality education both locally and internationally.

“This bold and commendable step demonstrates the governor’s dedication to investing in the future of Kebbi State. Education is the foundation for sustainable growth, and this initiative will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the lives of these students and their communities,” he said.

The coalition emphasised that the education support program is part of a broader strategy by the Idris administration to prioritize human development and empower Kebbi’s youth to compete in a globalized world.

“Inclusivity Programs: Establishment of the Kebbi State Commission for Persons Living with Disabilities to promote equality.

“Healthcare Improvements: Enhancing access to affordable, quality healthcare services.

“Agricultural Empowerment: Support programs for farmers to boost food security and economic growth.

“Youth Empowerment: Implementation of skill acquisition programs to foster economic independence among young people.

The coalition urged all stakeholders to support the governor’s vision for a progressive Kebbi State.

“We stand with Governor Nasir Idris as he continues to champion policies that prioritize education, inclusivity, and economic development. Together, we can build a brighter future for our people,” he added.
