Cubana Chief Priest, in a recent statement, emphasised that the agency’s operatives do not mistreat suspects, but are focused solely on investigation and prosecution.

The Socialite shared his views on the professionalism of the EFCC through his Instagram page. “The Eagle will always fly so high to catch you wherever you hide,” he wrote.

“No need to run when @officialefcc invites you, just pull up and answer them. They don’t bite, they don’t beat, they only investigate and prosecute,” Cubana Chief Priest wrote.

Further elaborating on the conditions within the EFCC’s custody, he remarked on the unexpected level of hospitality, “For their cell, toilet & bathroom dey, even breakfast, lunch & dinner is served so tell me why are you running,” he shared, shedding light on the basic amenities provided to those detained.

This advice comes in the wake of Cubana Chief Priest’s recent legal challenges on the alleged mutilation of the Naira.

Recall that LEADERSHIP on Wednesday, reported that the Socialite was arraigned before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court, Lagos, on a three-count charge pertaining to abuse of the Naira.

After pleading not guilty, he was granted bail in the sum of N10 million with two sureties in like sum.

The socialite’s comments have sparked a discussion on the nature of the EFCC’s operations and their approach towards individuals summoned for inquiries or accused of financial crimes.
