Customs area comptroller of the command in the state,  Dr Ben Oramalugo revealed this yesterday to journalists while handing over seized donkey meat and skin to the officials of the Nigeria agricultural Quarantine Services (NAQS) in the spirit of interagency collaboration.

Oramalugo said the amount represents 111 per cent of the command’s monthly revenue target

On the seized items,  the comptroller noted that Customs Service is empowered to seize, detain and condemn any items on several grounds as enshrined in section 167 of CEMA cap C45 LFN 2004 , if they are smuggled into the country or imported without payment of duty whether it is allowed to be imported or outrightly contraband.

Speaking while receiving the seized items,  the assistant comptroller general of NAQS in charge of North West zone,  Adamu Isah Gano who took over the items for further necessary action commended the Customs comptroller of the state command for his untiring efforts in making Kebbi free smuggling state.
