In a separate enforcement emphasising inter-agency synergy, the unit also handed over various seized items to relevant regulatory bodies on July 17, 2025.

The items seized include 58,740 sachets of unregistered medicaments and 27 cartons of Analgin injection which were handed over to the State Director of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in Kaduna.

Others include 3 sacks of Riodin chemical containing 990 units which were handed over to the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA).

“These actions reflect our commitment not only to economic protection but also to public health and environmental safety,” Comptroller Alkali said.

He emphasised that the FOU Zone B will continue to strengthen collaboration with sister agencies to ensure holistic approach to enforcement.

The Comptroller also acknowledged the vital role of public cooperation, calling on Nigerians to support the customs service in its fight against economic sabotage.

“The protection of our national economy and the health of our citizens is a collective responsibility. We appreciate the public’s continued support as we carry out our mandate,” he concluded.
