‎INEC sets up two registration centres in each of Delta State’s 25 local government areas and the state’s Head office in Asaba to execute the registration.

‎Mr Ameachi Desmond, at the INEC centre in Ogwashi-Ukwu in Aniocha South local government area and Mrs Blessing Kamkwu at Oshimili South local government area, made the request despite admitting that the queue was moving.

‎Meanwhile, ‎INEC resident electoral commissioner (REC) in the state, Sir Etekamba Umoren, has led the management team to supervise Day 1 of the physical registration exercise in Oshimili South and Aniocha South local government areas.

‎‎Umoren said equipment and materials have been delivered to all registration centres, noting the commission has trained personnel for a detailed execution of the CVR activity.

‎‎He stressed the importance of the voter card in the electoral process and urged those who are eligible to register online and update their voter details.

“For those that are yet to register; for those who have misplaced their voters card, there is provision for us to replace your voters card.

For those who have defaced their voter’s card, we can replace those ones.”

‎Also, the state Head of Department, Voter Education, Mrs Nseabasi Udom, explained that the exercise was meant for those who have attained the voting age of 18 years; others who have never registered and those who intend to make changes to their voter information.

“Defaced cards, all of that, they can stay using their devices to do same without going for recapturing. But the people that we need to go for that recapturing are the fresh registrants,” she advised.
