Dabota Lawson addresses fallout with Diiadem 1200x800 1

‎‎Beauty entrepreneur and former beauty queen, Dabota Lawson, has addressed her fallout with Diiadem.

‎‎In a lengthy post on one of her social media pages, she noted how people told her to ignore Diiadem because of her brand and image; however, she believes leadership doesn’t mean tolerating nonsense.

‎‎Dabota expressed heartbreak that someone she considers a friend chose to post private conversations publicly and selectively present screenshots, or create a narrative intended to embarrass her.

‎‎Addressing those telling her to avoid Lagos friendships, she said she has made some really great friends like Veezee, and their friendships have stood the test of time.

‎‎“Love is many things, but in my world, love is not foolishness.

‎‎I understand that leadership requires restraint, and I’ve heard, “You should have ignored it. Think about your brand. Think about your image.”

‎‎I DID. And I still believe leadership does not mean tolerating disrespect.

‎‎If someone I considered a friend chooses to post private conversations publicly, selectively present screenshots or create a narrative intended to embarrass me, while being unable to state what I have actually done to them clearly, I will address it.

‎‎You cannot provoke someone and then dictate how they should respond. You cannot throw a bomb and expect a feather in return. People have different boundaries, and one of mine is PUBLIC DISRESPECT. I can take a lot behind closed doors, but in PUBLIC ???? NO NO NO‎

‎Sometimes, when you are dealing with irrationality, the only language understood is the language being spoken.

‎I love deeply. I love friendship. I love family. I love celebrating the people I care about loudly and wholeheartedly because that is how I was raised.

‎People saying “avoid Lagos friendships” are probably speaking from their own experiences or trauma, but I can boldly say I’ve made some really great friends in Lagos who have been God-sent. Real friendships that have stood the test of time and added value to my life, like my 16-year friendships with @veezeebaybeh and @ceosayavethinteriors_and_hotel, to name a few. Alongside other close friends for 20-30 years.‎

‎I do not need to justify having boundaries.

‎I do not need to justify defending my name, and I have no regrets.

‎No version of love, friendship or loyalty requires me to accept bullshit quietly.

‎‎So, that being said, today is a good day”.

‎‎Dabota had fallen out with her former best friend, Diiadem, who accused her of using blogs to smear her name.

‎‎Responding to her, Dabota noted that she was the best sister in the world for helping Diiadem during her pregnancy with her married boyfriend in November. She confirmed that Diiadem was dating a married man named Churchill and pretending to be friends with his wife.

‎Hitting back at her, Diiadem said she had never denied knowing him and claimed Churchill rejected her friend, Ehi Ogbebor and Dabota spent a lot of time trying to make that happen for her. She claimed Dabota spoke badly about Tonto and further alleged that she tried to introduce her to various men and was sending her pictures to them for her own financial gain.‎

‎Reacting to Diiadem’s claims that Churchill rejected her, Ehi Ogbebor claimed she took Diiadem to Uyo years ago and alleged that the reality star engaged in multiple casual relationships with men during the trip. Calling Diiadem a rat, she told her to run anywhere she sees her, as she promised to beat her like a baby.
