The deputy national chairman, North, of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC ), Dr Ali Bukar Dalori has urged politicians elected on the platform of the party to provide good governance and create an open door policy to citizens in their respective leadership positions towards a successful outing in the next general elections.
Dalori further noted that by 2025, campaigns for the 2027 elections would have commenced and therefore advised every elective officeholder and politician on the platform of the party to ensure that whatever population of the electorate he or she controls does not abandon him or her.
The APC deputy national chairman, North, stated this on Saturday in Maiduguri shortly before moving to his village at Dalori, in Konduga local government area, Borno State, where he casted his vote for the state’s local government council election.
“The electorate are our shop; they are our capital in the business of politics and they are like our wares. If you don’t have the people, no fellow politician will approach you for any help to win his election, and, at this stage you begin to sink into political oblivion.
“If you control a large population of the electorate as your shop, every politician seeking election will come to you because you have the capital, you have the wares he is searching for,” Dalori said.
