Business mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has felicitated with the Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland, Chief Khamis Olatunde Badmus, describing him as a model for students and young entrepreneurs.
Dangote, who spoke at the weekend in Osogbo, Osun State, during a book launch written by Dr Lasisi Olagunju in honour of Badmus, as part of activities to mark his 80th birthday, cited the business mogul’s ability to balance business success with deep religious commitment.
He recalled their long relationship dating back to his early hustling days, noting that Badmus maintained both his business and faith without compromise.
Dangote, who launched the book with N100 million, used the occasion to call for national unity and collective responsibility in nation-building.
Also, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who welcomed Badmus into the club of elders, said the celebrant had been successful in all his endeavours.
He admonished him to sustain his new status and prayed for his longevity.
In his comment, Governor Ademola Adeleke declared the event “a state project,” describing Badmus as a “frontline, local, national and international statesman whose contributions spanned Osun, Yorubaland, Nigeria and Africa.
