Niger State governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has disclosed that the reconstruction of the Jebba -Makera-Kontagora Road would soon commence to ease the plight of motorists on the routes.
The governor disclosed this in Kontagora where he had Ramadan Iftar with the Emir of Kontagora, Alhaji Barau Mu’azu II and other stakeholders in the emirate.
Bago said the road reconstruction to be sponsored by Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, when completed would boost the socio-economic status of the state because of its strategic importance to businessmen.
He used the medium to appreciate the people of Kontagora emirate for their continued support to his administration adding that, he will continue to deliver more dividends of democracy to them.
Bago appealed for calm and patience as the government continued in its quest to address security challenges while also calling on them to be vigilant.
Emir of Kontagora, Alhaji Barau Mu’azu II in his remarks commended the farmer governor for his concern for the Emirate especially his efforts aimed at curbing the challenges of insecurity.
The senator representing Niger North Senatorial District, Sen. Abubakar Sani Bello, member representing Kontagora/Wushishi/Mashegu/Mariga federal constituency, Abdullahi Idris Garba and other key stakeholders from Kontagora Emirate were in attendance and lauded the initiatives.
