Daniel Oyeduntan: Driving Innovation Through AI In Tech World

Daniel Oyeduntan has solidified his position as a leader in the data industry from his early days in Nigeria to his current role as the Director of Data Science and AI at Unyte Ltd in London. Embarking On A Tough Terrain
Oyeduntan’s journey into the world of data science began through his academic pursuits, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics & Statistics with combined honors from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and achieving distinction in his Master of Science degree in Data Science from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. This, according to him, was not achieve seamlessly as he huffed and puffed putting the dream before him of becoming one of the youngest IT guru in Nigeria and at large, Africa.

His first role as a Data Analyst at Linkage Assurance Plc in Nigeria from 2017 to 2020, honed his skills in data analysis and insights extraction, utilizing cutting-edge AI and ML techniques to drive business growth. By designing interactive dashboards and automating reporting processes, Daniel revolutionized decision-making within the organisation leading to a remarkable 34 per cent revenue increase in 2021.

Driving Innovation At Kuda Bank
Transitioning to Kuda Bank as a Senior Data Analyst from 2021 to 2022, Daniel Oyeduntan , focused on monitoring and reporting customer experience metrics to enhance profitability and growth. Through the implementation of innovative ML models and strategies, he streamlined CX operations, resulting in a 13 per cent improvement in operational efficiency. “My role in developing the V2 app, which garnered over 17,000 downloads and a four-star rating, underscored my achievement at marrying data science with user-centric design,”he said.

Leading AI Initiatives At Unyte Africa
He assumed the role of Director of Data Science and AI, Unyte Ltd in London where he currently spearheads AI-driven predictive modeling projects to refine risk assessment and optimise insurance offerings. By crafting a robust data architecture and deploying an AI-powered chatbot for customer interactions, Oyeduntan, the geek propelled Unyte into the spotlight of technological innovation. His adept leadership in data-driven AI initiatives earned the company a spot in the esteemed Tech Nation Libra Program UK, further reiterating its reputation as a trailblazer in the industry.
