An aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State, David Sabo Kente, has said that he will contest for the 2027 governorship election because his mission is to unite the people and deliver infrastructure ito them.
Kente, who spoke to journalists in Abuja, said the people of Taraba need an experienced grassroots person to deliver the dividends of democracy to them. He said despite being in APC, he, a Jukun man, worked for Governor Agbo Kefas who was in the PDP because he believed he would deliver the dividends of democracy, but unfortunately, “nothing of such has happened.”
“Today in Wukari the people have now bought the form and asked me to contest.
Two weeks ago, the 16 local government areas converged on Wukari and requested to buy the election forms for me but I rejected it, still the pressure “mounted until I succumbed.
“People believe in me, I can squeeze water from stone, I had taken a 17-point agenda to the current governor, on how to move Taraba forward, but he has not implemented any of them.
“The Governor, who has no vision, insists on maintaining his team whose members are ineffective hence the colossal failure to deliver to the people, that is why I am throwing my hat into the ring to contest with him in 2027”, David Sabo Kente said.
