Eyewitnesses revealed that the infant was wrapped in two black leather bags and abandoned behind a local shop.

A community leader, Musa Jibrin recounted the harrowing discovery on Friday morning to journalists.

“I was informed that a baby girl’s lifeless body was dumped behind Alhaji Babangida Mai Coca-Cola’s shop.

“When I arrived, I saw the baby tied inside two black leather bags. I immediately alerted the Mai Gunduma and reported the matter to the Police at Township Station,” he said.
