Rising from its Committee of Supply presided over by the Speaker, Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, where the lawmakers examined the Money Bill Clause by Clause, the House unanimously adopted the recommendation of the Finance and Appropriation committee.

Commending the lawmakers for the passage of the bill, the Speaker of the State Assembly, Hon Emomotimi Guwor, said the approved budget was in line with global best practice, adding that it was in the collective interest of the State.
In an interview with journalists, Marylyn Okowa-Daramola said that the budget increase, particularly the capital expenditure, was aimed at ensuring robust infrastructural development in the state.
She particularly cited the need to beef up road infrastructure and agricultural development in the state’s nooks and crannies.
