Delta Gov Objects To Admissibility Of BVAS At Tribunal

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has objected to the admissibility of the Biomodal Voter Accreditation System, (BVAS) reports tendered by the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC),  Senator OvieOmo-Agege at the state governorship election petition tribunal.

Omo-Agege is challenging Oborevwori’s declaration by INEC as winner of the March 18 gubernatorial election in the state at the tribunal.

Kenneth Omoruan, holding the brief of the petitioner’s counsel, A. K Osawota at the tribunal, tendered BVAS reports for the March 18 governorship and March 19 supplementary elections, certificates of compliance with BVAS as well as 111 voters’ registers.

Also, he tendered the petitioner’s schedule of documents for EC8A comprising of 143 forms; EC8B with 35 forms; EC8C, 25 forms; EC8D and EC8E, one form each.

Counsel for Oborevwori and the Peoples Democratic Party, Samson Egege and Ekeme Ohwovoriole, SAN, respectively objected to the admissibility of all the documents tendered except EC8E which is has to do with the declaration by INEC.
