Wife of the chairman, Warri North local government area of Delta State, Mrs Omasan Ashima, yesterday welcomed the first baby of the year in the council from Mr and Mrs Babalola Agbebi at the Koko Central Hospital.
The first lady who was accompanied by the councillor representing Koko Ward, Hon.Recheal Ede and other party members was received by the chief medical director, Dr.Samson Umukoro.
Ashima, who appreciated God for the safe delivery of the first baby of the year, showered gifts and cash donations on the mother.
She said, “My love and passion for little children knows no bounds, hence I am here to celebrate with this family on the arrival of this new born baby.”
She used the child as contact prayer for those looking for children, saying God Almighty would provide for them.
Ashima also provided gifts to other patients and children in the various wards in the council area.
She assured people of the council of her fervent determination to work in line with Mrs Tobore Oborevwori’s pet project; ‘You Matter Charity Foundation’ to continue to reach out to the people of Warri North LGA.
Mrs Babalola and the others thanked the chairperson for the show of love to them.
