A group of Nigerians based in the Republic of Ireland under the aegis of Tinubu Support Group Ireland (TSG-Ireland) has asked the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to form a cabinet of competent Nigerians to enable him to provide good governance to the people.
The group expressed its confidence in the ability of Tinubu to turn around the fortunes of Nigeria, especially redeeming the country’s bad image on the international scene.
In a message to the president-elect signed by the duo of Nosa Joel Aigbokhan and Mallam Abdul Yusuf, the co-coordinator and secretary of TSG-Ireland respectively, the group congratulated Tinubu on his well-deserved victory and insisted that its members were confident in his ability to pick the best brains that will work tirelessly in reversing the social and economic fortunes of Nigeria.
He said, “The Nigerian diaspora community based in the Republic of Ireland is glad to have you as our President elect. We trust that you and the team you are bringing on board would work very hard on behalf of all Nigerians to bring the country out of its present socio-economic state. We wish you success as you prepare to take up the responsibilities and challenges of your office. We identify with the majority of Nigerians, especially the youths who want to see a Nigeria that works for all without any kind of bias.”
With specific emphasis on the challenges faced by Nigerians in the area of doing business and the fate of Nigeria’s economy, TSG-Ireland expressed dissatisfaction with the poor state of electricity, multiple taxes, port congestions, corruption, bad roads other hurdles and bottlenecks that affect Nigerians especially the youth who are desperately trying to break free from poverty and lack.
“It is our hope and expectation that under your reign, the country will witness the transformation that you brought in Lagos especially in the area of wealth creation and employment generation. With unemployment biting hard, we hope that you’ll create a friendly business environment through the provision of basic and functional infrastructure that’ll facilitate ease of doing business for all Nigeria”, the statement added.
While urging the president-elect to stand by his campaign promises and appoint competent persons into his cabinet, TSG-Ireland appealed to the incoming president to consider one of their own, Prince Ade Omole as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in order to restore the very low image of Nigeria in the international arena. Adding further that with his vast experience and exposure, there’s no doubt that he will perform beyond expectations and bring glory to Nigerians and the incoming administration.
Part of the statement reads, “as it stands, Nigeria’s image abroad is very low and that can rise again through the help of a very competent Minister of Foreign Affairs who will rebrand Nigeria and overhaul the entire ministry under his supervision.
His Excellency, we recommend Prince Ade Omole for that job. Prince Omole is a born diplomat who will bring your government close to the people. He will be accessible at any time as it is expected of every responsible leader. The Nigerian diaspora with its pool of talents and wealth wants a foreign minister that can be a link between them and their government back home and Prince Omole can build at that link.
“At the moment, 95 percent of our ambassadors and consulates will never reply to your emails even during a life and death situation which is sad and very unprofessional. With more than three decades experience working at the managerial levels of global companies like Hewlett Packard, JP Morgan Investment Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland’s, United Kingdom Defence Ministry NVS Certified Consultant with over 30 years of Project management.
and other international experiences, Prince Omole certainly has what it takes to make the dream of a new Nigeria a reality”
TSG-Ireland finally pledged their full support to the progress and development of Nigeria under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his foreign minister-to-be, Prince Ade Omole whom they described as a good listener, team leader and believed will bring his law and IT knowledge and experience to bear on coordinating the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and effecting the necessary changes that will make Nigeria a competitive global player once again.
