American music mogul Sean Diddy Combs is facing another legal challenge as prosecutors in Los Angeles, United States, have commenced the review of a fresh criminal complaint of sexual battery filed against him.

According to a report by TMZ, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office is currently examining the case to determine if there is enough evidence to file new criminal charges against the imprisoned hip-hop producer.

The case was brought forward by a publicist, Jonathan Hay, who filed an official police report alleging that Diddy sexually assaulted him on two different occasions between 2020 and 2021.

A spokesperson for the District Attorney, Venusse Dunn, confirmed that detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department have concluded their preliminary investigations and submitted their findings to the prosecution office for legal advice.

The complainant, Hay, stated that the incidents occurred while he was working on a music remix project with CJ Wallace, the son of the late legendary rapper Christopher Biggie Smalls Wallace, where Diddy frequently visited the studio sessions.

Hay alleged that during one of the sessions in September 2020, Diddy engaged in an indecent act in a room before making inappropriate sexual advances toward him. He further claimed that in March 2021, Diddy cornered him again inside a room in Los Angeles, accused him of being an informant, and sexually assaulted him.

The case was initially reported to law enforcement officials in Hay’s hometown of Largo, Florida, in September 2025, before it was officially transferred to the Los Angeles jurisdiction where the alleged offences took place.

Diddy is currently serving a 50-month sentence in a US federal prison following his conviction in 2025 for violating the Mann Act, which involves the illegal transportation of persons across state lines for sexual purposes. Efforts by journalists to get a reaction from the musician’s legal representatives regarding the fresh allegations have proved abortive.
