Digital Professional Fair is targeting thousands of young Nigerians with free access to career-building resources, training, and mentorship, aimed at democratising opportunities in the digital economy by removing barriers to entry for young professionals, students, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Organised by Stamfordham Global, in partnership with leading brands such as HelloCV, Grabify, and the MTN Foundation, the fair scheduled to take place from August 6 to 8 in Lagos, will offer free CV writing services, website development, business consultations, and exposure to career and entrepreneurial opportunities across Nigeria’s growing digital landscape.
Founder/CEO of Stamfordham Global and convener of the Digital Professional Fair, Adetutu Adetunbi, at a press parley, in Lagos, over the weekend, said the Fair was to empower a generation of young people.
“We want to empower a generation of young people to take their rightful place in the digital economy. This is about access to tools, training, and visibility that many young Nigerians simply cannot afford or find,” Adetunbi added.
The fair is free and open to the public, with programming specifically tailored to three youth age brackets: 18–24, 24–30, and 30–40. Each day of the event will focus on a different theme including Career Guidance; Business Structuring and corporate governance and leadership. Participants will engage in workshops, mentorship sessions, panel discussions, and a vibrant career marketplace where recruiters, tech companies, and service providers will be on hand to engage with attendees and offer support.
“This is not just an event, it is a mission. We are setting the stage for a new generation of African digital professionals, individuals who are not just job seekers, but job creators, innovators, and leaders in the global space. We are shifting the narrative from lack of leverage, to how young Nigerians can leverage knowledge, networks, and digital tools to create new realities for themselves,” one of the event’s major supporters and media and public relations partner representing Seedar Group, Oluwaseyi Ajadi, stated.
Organisers said the event expects thousands of physical and virtual participants, with online streaming available through the event website and partners under the IFA platform. The Digital Professional Fair has also attracted support from recruiters, startup founders, and business consultants eager to connect with rising talent.
This initiative comes at a time when youth unemployment in Nigeria hovers at alarming levels, even as global demand for digital skills, ranging from coding and data analytics to design, content creation, and cybersecurity, continues to surge.
