As financial fraud continues to escalate globally, with billions lost daily to cyberattacks, co-founder and CEO of tech firm, Hustle, Temitope Fatunmbi, is charting a transformative course in digital security.

Leveraging quantum computing and advanced artificial intelligence (AI), the Nigerian-born technologist is developing next-generation fraud prevention systems to redefine how financial institutions combat cybercrime.

Fatunmbi noted that she is pioneering ‘intelligent immunity’, a proactive model of fraud detection that predicts and neutralises threats in real-time using machine learning, reinforcement systems, and quantum algorithms.

“Fraud is evolving faster than most systems can detect it. To stop it, we have to think like it, and be five steps ahead,” she stated.

According to her, Hustle’s fraud detection engine uses ensemble AI models integrated with quantum-enhanced optimization, enabling real-time learning from emerging attack patterns. The platform has been deployed across banks, fintech firms, and crypto platforms, recording a 300% improvement in detection speed and a 47% reduction in false positives, according to internal performance data.

At the core of the company’s strategy is a hybrid quantum-classical system that identifies complex fraud patterns such as synthetic identity use and anomalous transactions at speeds unachievable by traditional architectures.

“Quantum computing allows us to process uncertainty in ways that mirror human intuition, but at incomprehensible speed. It’s like giving AI a sixth sense. The future of financial security isn’t reactive, it’s predictive, ethical, and always learning,” she added.

Beyond technical innovation, Fatunmbi also emphasized ethical and inclusive design in fraud prevention, noting that Fraud isn’t just a tech issue, but a human one.

“When someone loses their savings or identity, it’s personal. Our systems must reflect that sensitivity. Hustle tools thus include explainable AI dashboards that promote transparency for compliance officers and end users.

The tech expert is also leading a consortium of AI researchers and finance professionals developing regulatory frameworks for privacy-conscious and fair quantum fraud systems.

Her works have gained international attention, with her thought leadership featured in journals such as World Journal of Advanced Engineering Technology and Sciences.

As financial institutions worldwide look to future-proof their infrastructure against increasingly sophisticated threats, Fatunmbi’s innovations in AI and quantum computing are offering a compelling—and timely—solution.
