The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB) has said the 2024 Direct Entry (DE) registration deadline of June 17, 2024, will not be extended further.

In a press statement yesterday, JAMB spokesperson Dr Fabian Benjamin urged candidates to register as soon as possible.

JAMB recently announced the extension of the 2024 Direct Entry(DE) registration period to Monday, 17 June 2024, and approved extra registration points apart from the Professional Registration Centres(PRCs), which are JAMB-owned centres, in Lagos, Kwara, and Osun states.

According to the board, the extension of the registration points was to ensure that every eligible candidate was given the opportunity to realise their dreams of registering for the exercise.

The statement said; “Eligible candidates wishing to register for the 2024 DE are urged to take advantage of this window of opportunity to register as no further extension would be entertained by the Board.

“The general public is also invited to take note of these extra registration points provided by the Board and the unexpected near-zero turnouts of prospective DE candidates at these registration facilities as the Board would not listen to any further call for an extension when it eventually closes the exercise on Monday, June 17, 2024.”

Similarly, JAMB said candidates who were scheduled for the 2024 Supplementary UTME should note that the examination will be held between Friday, June 21, and Saturday, June 22, 2024 (two days).

The board had announced only Saturday, June 22, 2024, but has now added Friday, June 21, 2024, due to the gracious release of Friday, June 21 by one of the sister examination bodies.
