He stated this while responding to questions from LEADERSHIP in Kano recently after a meeting between businessmen in the two countries.

He explained that the two countries have since given consent for the establishment of the chamber to allow for interaction on the best way of doing business between them through the sea, land, and cargo business.

“Very soon, the Algerian airline will start flying the Algiers – Abuja direct flight, which I believe will create a cargo opportunity there. Meanwhile, we use other airlines to fly to Algeria and Abuja, but the Algerian Airline will soon commence direct flights.

“We are working in partnership with the Kano Association of Marketers and Entrepreneurs led by Hassan Yaro to ensure all teams of businessmen and women that deal with the wing of Algeria we bring them in to look into the trans-Saharan route, of course, those operating that rout presently are not doing it legally. We want to develop a way all these businesses will be done legally and in line with the African Free Trade Zone,” he stated.

“We are working hard to ensure that all records and documentation of business processes through the route are done in line with the law so that people can run their businesses without fear or hindrance that will bring fear to them of confiscating their goods.

So that they will do their business clean, make their profits, and move safely in line with the African Free Trade Zone law,” he added.

He also said plans to encourage Nigerians and Algerians to interact freely in business operations and in accordance with the law to enhance economic development have gone well.

He reassured them that they could travel between the two countries for business as soon as the airline started operating.

He also explained that many businesses can be conducted between the two countries, including agriculture, manufacturing, services, and others.
