The Makaman Katsina and District Head of Bakori, Alhaji Garba Tukur Idris, has praised Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, for his unwavering commitment to combating insecurity in the state.

He made the commendation during a colorful turbaning ceremony held in Bakori, where Governor Radda’s nephew, Mukhtar Tukur, was conferred with the traditional title of Ajiyan Bakori. Mukhtar, the son of the Governor’s elder sister, Hajia Hauwa Radda, was among ten individuals honored with traditional titles.

Others turbaned include Ibrahim Tukur as Wazirin Makama, Alhaji Shehu Ishiye as Cigarin Makaman Katsina, and Alhaji Ali Abubakar as Sarkin Fada the Second.

Additional title holders are Alhaji Mukhtar Hamza Idris (Wakilin Makaman Katsina), Alhaji Muhammad Isah Abdulkadir (Danmalikin Makama), Alhaji Alhasan Sai’du (Sarkin Aikin Makama), Alhaji Haruna Mohamed (Dan Kafi), Alhaji Yusuf Isah Abdulkadir (Falakin Makama), and Awwalu Usman Kandarawa (Daniyan Makaman Katsina).

In his remarks, the District Head reminded the newly appointed title holders that leadership is a sacred trust, urging them to contribute meaningfully to the progress and development of Bakori.
The ceremony also provided an avenue for local concerns to be voiced.
The Chairman of Bakori Local Government, Alhaji Aminu Dan Hamidu, appealed to the state government to prioritize the construction of the Bakori-Tsiga and Bakori-Kurami roads.
