The newly appointed District Head of Chibike under the Arewa local government area of Kebbi State (Mai Arewan Chibike), Umar Isah Yakubu, has commended Governor Nasir Idris, emir of Argungu, Sama’ila Mohammed Mera and the immediate past sole administrator of Argungu local government, Hon. Sani Aliyu Gulma for appointing him as the new district head of Chibike and Mai Arewan Chibike.

He made the commendation yesterday during an interview with journalists at his residence in the Badariya area of Birnin Kebbi metropolis.

He told journalists he had lost words to show appreciation to them, especially the state governor, the emir of Argungu, and the former sole administrator of Argungu local government. He expressed his profound gratitude to them for the throne.

According to him, he inherited the throne right from his father, Farin Sarki, down to his brother, Mohammadu Ibrahim. He said he would use his vast experience as a former customs officer to build from where they stopped to develop the Chibike District under the Argungu emirate.

The new district head, however, assured the government and his subjects that he would justify the confidence reposed in him by ensuring absolute peace and unity in Chibike District.

He promised to continue to give his unflinching loyalty and support to the Kauran Gwandu-led administration and Argungu emirate.

He called on the people of Chibike to give him maximum cooperation and support to discharge his duty effectively.
