A University Don, Dr Kennedy Iwundu, has called for the institution of fraud management policies and strategies in organisations to combat the rising cases of fraud globally.

Dr Iwundu made the call during the presentation of his new book titled, “Fraud Management and Examination (Concepts & Practice)” to the president of Chattered Institute of Forensic and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFCFIN), Dr. Iliyasu Gashinbaki, in Abuja on Monday.

He stated that the accelerated adoption of digitalisation and digital platforms by individuals, companies, and government entities has also intensified the rising rate of fraud globally.

He, however, advised that all entities should develop, adopt and implement fraud management strategies to combat the rising rate of fraud and financial crimes.

Dr. Iwundu, a PhD holder in Forensic Accounting and Audit, is an Assistant Professor of Forensic Accounting and Fraud Management Studies at ICT University in Cameroon. He is a Fellow of Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE), a Fellow of the Association of Forensic and Investigative Auditors (FFIA), a Fellow of the Association of Forensic Accounting Researchers (FFAR), and an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Forensic and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFCFIN).
