A socio-political group, Pathfinder 4 Unity, has urged Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members jostling for the seat of senate minority leader not to allow their ambition destroy the long standing relationship between the immediate past governor of River State, Nyesom Wike and Sen. Jarigbe Agom-Jarigbe.
The group gave the charge yesterday in Calabar while reacting to a statement credited to the senator representing Cross River North senatorial district, Senator Agom-Jarigbe.
A statement issued by the convener of the group, Elder Athur Etta, urged those jostling for the seat to be circumspect with what they release to the public.
The statement warned those trying to destroy Senator Jarigbe’s relationship with Wike to desist forthwith so as not to destroy themselves.
The Pathfinder 4 Unity stressed that Agom-Jarigbe who is qualified for the position had made his intention clear that he is not interested despite attempts to lure him to vie for the seat.
The statement averred that the relationship shared by the two had always been to promote good governance in the South South and the country as a whole.
The group stated that they were aware that there had been no discussions whatsoever between Wike and the senator regarding the position of senate majority leader.
