The successful raid which took place in the Makarfi bush also resulted in the death of one suspect and the recovery of N26.5 million ransom money.

A source within the command said tactical team acted on reliable intelligence to locate and disrupt the gang of five bandits as they were dividing the ransom proceeds.

“One Hamisu Tukur is currently in custody with gunshot injuries, while Bature was killed in the operation,” the source disclosed.

The kidnap occurred three weeks ago when armed men stormed the residence of Hajiya Hauwa’u Adamu in Kahutu village and abducted her. They demanded N900 million ransom from the singer.
