Scott-Vincent Borba, the multi-millionaire co-founder of the global beauty brand e.l.f. Cosmetics will be ordained as a Catholic priest on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

Mass, led by Bishop Joseph Brennan, is scheduled to take place at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Visalia, California. The event marks the final transition for the 50-year-old former executive, who has officially traded his business empire for a life of religious service in the Diocese of Fresno.

Borba, who once managed top brands like Neutrogena and Hard Candy, revealed that despite his massive wealth, he felt a profound spiritual emptiness. Reflecting on his past life in Hollywood, he admitted, “I was a poster boy for luxury. I was living for myself. I was idolising myself.”

The former beauty mogul stated that his decision to join the priesthood fulfils a promise he made to God at the start of his career. “God gave me the grace to scream out to Him, ‘Father, please help me achieve some of my dreams. And upon achieving those, I will give you back my life and service,” Borba recalled.

LEADERSHIP reports that Borba’s journey involved divesting himself of his fortune, including his luxury cars, such as his Aston Martin, to enter the seminary at age 42. Having spent years in theological training and serving the homeless, Borba says he has found a peace that money could not buy. “With everything the world can give me, I would give it back a million times over to be united to Jesus,” he said.
