Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has doled out N30 million to D’Tigress star Munachi Ejiofor for her role in the team’s successful outing at the 2025 Women’s AfroBasket.
Ejiofor was also rewarded with a duplex in Abakaliki.
She has also been inducted into the Ebonyi State Hall of Fame.
D’Tigress won a fifth consecutive Women’s AfroBasket title in Cote d’Ivoire earlier this month.
Rena Wakama’s side were also honoured by President Bola Tinubu.
Each player got $100,000, an apartment, and a national honour.
