Ebonyi Rep Distributes Relief Materials To Flood Victims

Member representing, Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Chinedu Ogah has distributed relief materials worth millions of naira to victims of flood disaster in the Ikwo council area of the state.

Hon Ogah who is the deputy chairman, House committee on poverty alleviation, said that the gesture is aimed at alleviating their suffering and assured the people that he will continue to provide effective representation to the people.

He said that the relief materials were attracted through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) adding that the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has done a lot to the people of the zone and Ebonyi in particular.

Ogah urged the people to continue to support the All Progressives Congress  (APC) both at the national and state levels and enjoined them to vote for all the candidates of the party in the forthcoming general election.

He maintained that the administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru as president and governor come 2023 will help to sustain the gains of democracy and ensure the wellbeing of the people.

The materials which were distributed to Echara communities, Ebiem Ekpaomaka, Inyimegu, Igbudu Il, Alike and other areas in the Ikwo local government area of the state includes wrappers, drinking cups, plates, blankets, clothes, bags of Rice, bags of Beans, mosquito nets, mattresses, ceiling boards, and bundles of Zinc.

 

Addressing the people, the deputy director, National Emergency Management Agency, Southeast, Mr. Godwin Thickman Tamino, and his team monitored the distribution of the relief materials to the victims of the affected communities.

Thickman commended Hon. Ogah for his outstanding achievements and successes he has attracted to his constituency through NEMA.

 

He said that there’s outstanding relief material coming to the Ikwo/ Ezza South constituency; courtesy of the lawmaker.

 

He sympathised with the flood victims and advised them to make judicious use of the materials received.
