Ed Sheeran Shaves Hair, Opens Up About Shingles Battle And ‘Fresh Start’

English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has surprised fans with a bold new look, unveiling a freshly shaved head as part of what he described as a “fresh start” in his life. He also admits struggling with shingles.

The “Perfect” hitmaker shared the transformation in a “Life Update Dumpington” post on Instagram on Tuesday, April 28, where the first photo in the carousel displayed his buzz cut.

“Yes, I’ve shaved my hair. I wanted to shave it to signify a fresh start,” the ‘Photograph’ singer said, adding that there were a lot of new beginnings in his life at the moment. “I love it, thinking of keeping it this way,” he said.

Beyond the haircut, the singer thrilled Latin American fans by announcing additional dates for his Loop Tour across Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina and Chile.

He expressed excitement about returning to the region, writing, “Some of my fav countries and cities to play shows in, it’s been too long.”

Sheeran also posted a photo with producer Martin Garrix, revealing they recently reunited and played guitar together.

“Caught up with @martingarrix recently, know that guy for over a decade now, I love him, what a bloke,” he shared.

The 35-year-old also disclosed he had been battling shingles for the past month, adding that he “wouldn’t recommend it” but is now “on the mend.”

To keep himself entertained during his battle against Shingles, Sheeran finally watched ‘Stranger Things’ and read a novel by Barbara Kingsolver called ‘Demon Copperhead.
